Oz Minerals Managing Director Andrew Cole is reported in Today’s Australian Financial Review (Paywall) saying:
“..there was also an ”unacceptable” trend in workplace safety in the mines for the past three months, but he was confident that the trend had stabilized.”
This is likely from the company’s September 2022 Quarterly Report and webcast released yesterday.
The company’s one-day “stop” on safety consultations is admirable, but some of the discussion reported in other media implies that an old-fashioned attitude to worker safety still exists.
